Having worked on all three sides of the marketing industry I have been afforded rare insight into the business models of advertisers, agencies and media owners. Consequently I understand how they can best partner together for mutual benefit. I believe trust is central to great marketing and that this can only truly be achieved when all parties understand, respect and, as much as possible, drive toward each others' goals.

The explosion of media channels; fragmentation of audiences; proliferation of data sources have all contributed to the increased complexity of marketing. In my experience, however, what is often perceived as complexity is in fact just white noise and but a distraction. If you truly understand your target audiences and remain laser focussed on what really matters to them, the right marketing solutions invariably emerge.

Collaboration Is Key To Successful Marketing
Although rooted in brand marketing and media, more recently my assignments have centred around business transformation, capability building and eCommerce. This has afforded me invaluable insight into the interplay between marketing and other business functions. Developing marketing strategy can not be done in isolation, rather finding the right solutions are inextricably linked to understanding a company's culture, working practices, resources and key priorities.

I have worked with and learnt from some of the very best in the business. The rigour of P&G, the speed of Samsung and the agility of Amazon are all qualities that I now look to apply to my own thinking and delivery for clients. I have also worked with smaller dynamic companies looking to step change their business growth. I understand that different companies differ in resources and therefore require bespoke ‘real world’ solutions that can fulfil their business needs.

Beyond Work
I live south of the river with my amazingly patient wife , two irresistibly cheeky kids and a ridiculously docile dog. When I am not ferrying my two kids around to their endless training sessions and football matches, you will find me either at a blues jam, watching my beloved Mighty Reds or planning our next family holiday.
